GIVE YOUR TEAM THE SELF-LEADER ADVANTAGE
Likewise works for people who value self-leadership.
Social distancing is changing life for people all over the planet.
Losing the freedom to do —
what you want,
when you want,
where you want,
how you want,
and with whomever you want —
inflicts trauma that you must process.
As was the case for many businesses, COVID-19 forced Likewise College to pivot. Our prison education had helped people successfully overcome the dehumanizing results of State-mandated social distancing. Seeing our students exit social distancing better equipped to thrive inspired us. Then the state closed prisons to visitors and volunteers.
We decided to offer our "prison proven" self-leadership programs to the public so you can enhance your soft-skills and emerge even stronger. And when the state reopens prisons to visitors and volunteers, we plan to expand our #giveHalf initiative so your incarcerated neighbors can learn self-leadership and go home for good.
Now is a great time to prepare your team for the "new normal." When implemented correctly, Self-Leadership delivers timeless benefits that transfer to any human work — including:
increased team cohesion and collaboration
improved independent decision-making
less need for direct supervision
enhanced communication and creative problem-solving skills
Our students came from diverse backgrounds: Black Panthers, White Aryan Nation, Mexican Mafia, Catholics, Protestants, Muslims, Buddhists, Atheists, and more. We thought, "if they gained self-leadership skills and learned to cooperate for each other's success while in prison — imagine how other teams can grow even stronger during and after a crisis."
Successful self-leadership equips your people to move the mission forward during and after an existential crisis like State-mandated social distancing — with or without your direct involvement.

Learning to read and think critically has transformed my understanding of what it means to "get an education". This is what school should be.

I became involved with Likewise College because the Lord called me to serve a population that He had graciously rescued me from.
Dale — California
Likewise empowered me to challenge the broken social systems we work within, which allowed me to further the mission of the organization and implement ideas as an equal contributor.
